...THUNDERSTORMS IN WESTERN PORTIONS OF THE TRI-STATE AREA...

THUNDERSTORMS WERE IN THE WESTERN PORTION OF THE TRI-STATE AREA AT
1050 THIS MORNING.  THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST
AT 20 TO 25 MILES AN HOUR.

THE STRONGEST STORM WAS LOCATED NEAR MANCHESTER...40 MILES WEST OF
DUBUQUE.

THE LEADING EDGE OF THE RAIN WAS FROM NEAR ELKADER...40 MILES NORTH-
WEST OF DUBUQUE...TO NEAR ANAMOSA...40 MILES SOUTHWEST OF DUBUQUE.

THESE STORMS WILL PRODUCE HEAVY RAIN AND GUSTY WIND AS THEY MOVE
ACROSS THE AREA LATE THIS MORNING. THESE THUNDERSTORMS COULD ALSO
PRODUCE SMALL HAIL.

    ...THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUING IN THE TRI-STATE AREA...

AT 1230 PM CDT SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WERE PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN
...GUSTY WINDS...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING IN PORTIONS OF THE
DUBUQUE TRI-STATE AREA.

THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED NEAR ANAMOSA...40 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF DUBUQUE...NEAR MAQUOKETA...30 MILES SOUTH OF DUBUQUE...
AND NEAR LANCASTER WISCONSIN...25 MILES NORTHEAST OF DUBUQUE.

THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE PART OF AN AREA OF PRECIPITATION THAT COVERED
MUCH OF THE TRI-STATE AREA IN A 30 MILES WIDE BAND EXTENDING FROM
SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN...ACROSS DYERSVILLE TO NEAR CEDAR RAPIDS.

ALL THE PRECIPITATON WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 20 TO 25 MILES
AN HOUR.

THE STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN...GUSTY
WINDS...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING FOR THE NEXT 2 TO 3 HOURS.  THESE
STORMS ARE ALSO 2CAPABLE OF PRODUCING SMALL HAIL.

IF THREATENING WEATHER SHOULD APPROACH...TAKE COVER UNTIL THE STORM
PASSES.
