THE LEADING EDGE OF THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED FROM JUST WEST OF PELLISTON TO MESICK. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT 35 TO 40 MILES AN HOUR. THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE INTO NORTH CENTRAL LOWER MICHIGAN BY 645 PM AND WILL CONTAIN STRONG WINDS...DANGEROUS 7LIGHTNING...AND HEAVY RAIN.

WEATHER RADAR INDICATED SOME HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS STRETCHING FROM JUST EAST OF WHITEFISH POINT IN EASTERN UPPER MICHIGAN TO TRAVERSE CITY IN NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT 40 TO 45 MPH. VERY STRONG GUSTY WIND AND PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN CAN BE EXPECTED TO ACCOMPANY THESE STORMS AS THEY MOVE THROUGH THE AREA.
