SEVERE WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAMPA BAY AREA RUSKIN FL 1100 AM EST SAT FEB 8 1986 AT 1100 AM EST A VERY HEAVY THUNDERSTORM WAS JUST SOUTHWEST OF THE MOUTH OF TAMPA BAY AND WAS MOVING RAPIDLY NORTHEAST AT 45 MPH. THIS THUNDERSTORM WILL MOVE ACROSS SOUTH PINELLAS AND TAMPA BAY BETWEEN 1100 AM AND 1130 AM EST THIS MORNING. THE THUNDERSTORM WILL PRODUCE STRONG GUSTY WINDS BETWEEN 40 TO 50 MPH..HEAVY RAINFALL AND POSSIBLY SOME HAIL AS IT STREAKS NORTHEAST. NO SEVERE WEATHER HAS BEEN REPORTED DURING THE PAST HOUR AT THE TAMPA BAY RUSKIN WEATHER OFFICE.
