THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 400 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY OF


SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI...OREGON

AT 300 PM CST A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS INDICATED BY RADAR AT THE
WEST EDGE OF OREGON COUNTY ABOUT 10 MILES EAST OF WEST PLAINS.
MOVEMENT WAS TOWARD THE EAST AT 20 MPH.  ALTON IS IN THE PATH OF
THIS STORM.

REMEMBER A SEVERE THUNDESTORM PRODUCES DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF
60 MPH..LARGE HAIL..DEADLY LIGHTNING..AND HEAVY RAINS THAT CAN
QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING AREA.

IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES..YOU SHOULD GO TO A SAFE PLACE
IMMEDIATELY AND RELAY YOUR SEVERE WEATHER REPORTS TO THE NEAREST
