THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 100 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF

SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...BARTON AND JASPER

RADAR INDICATES HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED OVER BARTON AND JASPER
 COUNTIES IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI. 3 TO 5 INCHES OF RAIN HAD BEEN
RECEIVED AT LOWELL KANSAS JUST ACROSS THE MISSOURI LINE WEST OF
JOPLIN SINCE 9 PM CDT. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING TO THE NORTH
EAST AT 25 MPH WITH THE RAIN FALLING ON ALL READY SATURATED GROUND.

PERSONS IN LOW LYING AND FLOOD PRONE AREA8S SHOULD BE ALERT FOR
RAPIDLY RISING WATER AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY.
CAMPERS ALONG CREEKS AND STREAMS SHOULD NOW MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE OR WALK THROUGH RAPIDLY FLOWING WATER.
