SPECIAL MARINE WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 630 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE 
FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF

NORTH CAROLINA...DARE...AND ADJACENT WATERS OF CROATAN SOUND...AND 
 ADJACENT WATERS OF ROANOKE SOUND AND AND ADJACENT WATERS OF 
 CURRITUCK SOUND
...THIS WARNING ALSO INCLUDES THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS FOR THE
COUNTIES JUST MENTIONED

AT 515 PM, A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING
WINDS WAS OBSERVED ON THE CAPE HATTERAS WEATHER RADAR OVER
THE SOUTHERN CURRITUCK SOUND. THIS STORM WAS 15 MILES NORTH OF
MANTEO AND MOVING EAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR.

THE PROJECTED PATH OF THIS STORM IS OVER OR NEAR THE FOLLOWING
COMMUNITIES... DUCK...COROLLA... AND KITTY HAWK.

PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM SHOULD BE ALERT FOR THE POSSIBILITY
OF LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS...FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND LOCALLY HEAVY
RAIN. REPORT ANY SEVERE WEATHER TO THE NEAREST LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY.

THE SEVERE WEATHER WARNING THAT WAS ISSUED EARLIER FOR PASQUOTANK
PERQUIMANS AND CHOWAN  COUNTIES REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM.
