000 TTAA00 KBFF 062347 SVRVTN NEC031-070040- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE VALENTINE NE ISSUED BY SCOTTSBLUFF NE 547 PM MDT FRI JUN 6 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 640 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA...NORTHEAST CHERRY AT 545 PM MDT..RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 25 MILES SOUTHWEST OF VALENTINE..OR 8 TO 10 MILES SOUTH OF THE MERRITT RESERVOIR IN NORTHCENTRAL NEBRASKA. THIS STORM WAS MOVING TO THE EAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR. REMEMBER A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAN PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH..LARGE HAIL..DEADLY LIGHTNING AND VERY HEAVY RAIN THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD LOW LYING AREAS. THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING..SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IF ONE IS SPOTTED. HONTON

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTH PLATTE NE 400 PM MDT FRI JUN 6 1986 HEAVY THUNDERSHOWERS ARE MOVING ACROSS PARTS OF WEST CENTRAL NEBRASKA. AT 400 PM MDT THUNDERSHOWERS WERE LOCATED ACROSS EASTERN ARTHUR TO KEITH ACROSS NORTHWEST PERKINS COUNTY OF NEBRASKA. THE HEAVIEST WAS NEAR PAXTON TO 10 MILES SOUTHEAST OF OGALLALA WHICH IS 46 MILES WEST OF NORTH PLATTE, NEBRASKA. HEAVY RAIN WITH ONE TO ONE AND A HALF INCHES SIZE HAIL UWAS REPORTED FROM THE OGALLALA POLICE DEPARTMENT AS THE STORM PASS THE CITY. THESE THUNDERSHOWERS WERE MOVING EAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL BE MOVING ACROSS PAXTON NEBRASKA WHICH IS 31 MILES WEST OF NORTH PLATTE BY 415 PM MDT. HETZKE
