000 TTAA00 KLBF 062237 SVRLBF NEC111-062345- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTH PLATTE NE 537 PM CDT FRI JUN 6 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 645 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA...WESTERN LINCOLN AT 530 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 20 MILES WEST NORTH PLATTE NEBRASKA MOVING EAST AT 20 MPH. IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES...GET TO A REINFORCED SHELTER AND PREPARE FOR STRONG DAMAGING WIND..LARGE HAIL..VERY HEAVY RAIN AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. REMEMBER...THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANChE WARNING..SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT!! SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTH PLATTE NE 400 PM MDT FRI JUN 6 1986 HEAVY THUNDERSHOWERS ARE MOVING ACROSS PARTS OF WEST CENTRAL NEBRASKA. AT 400 PM MDT THUNDERSHOWERS WERE LOCATED ACROSS EASTERN ARTHUR TO KEITH ACROSS NORTHWEST PERKINS COUNTY OF NEBRASKA. THE HEAVIEST WAS NEAR PAXTON TO 10 MILES SOUTHEAST OF OGALLALA WHICH IS 46 MILES WEST OF NORTH PLATTE, NEBRASKA. HEAVY RAIN WITH ONE TO ONE AND A HALF INCHES SIZE HAIL UWAS REPORTED FROM THE OGALLALA POLICE DEPARTMENT AS THE STORM PASS THE CITY. THESE THUNDERSHOWERS WERE MOVING EAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL BE MOVING ACROSS PAXTON NEBRASKA WHICH IS 31 MILES WEST OF NORTH PLATTE BY 415 PM MDT. HETZKE
