THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 530 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY OF

NORTHEAST NEBRASKA...PLATTE

AT 425 PM A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS INDICATED 15 MILES WEST OF
COLUMBUS OR 3 MILES WEST OF MONROE MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 35
MPH.

 REMEMBER...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN PRODUCE DEADLY WINDS IN EXCESS
OF 75 MPH...LARGE HAIL...KILLER LIGHTNING...AND TORRENTIAL RAINS
THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING AREA.

 THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE
OR NO WARNING...SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A
PLACE OF SAFETY.
