THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 230 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTIES OF

CENTRAL ILLINOIS... MACON AND PIATT

AT 1 15 PM CDT MACON COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTED HEAVY RAIN AND
UNCONFIRMED FUNNEL CLOUDS ALOFT 2 TO 3 MILES SOUTHEAST OF
DECATUR ILLINOIS.

AT 1 20 PM CDT MARBLE SIZE HAIL WAS REPORTED SOUTH OF DECATUR
ILLINOIS.
RADAR INDICATED A VERY HEAVY THUNDERSTORM IN THE DECATUR AREA
MOVING EAST AT 20 MPH.

REMEMBER..A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCES DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS
OF 60 MPH...LARGE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING AND HEAVY RAINS THAT CAN
QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING AREA.
