THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 745 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTIES OF

CENTRAL ILLINOIS...MACON AND CHRISTIAN

AT 640PM, RADAR INDICATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS JUST SOUTHWEST OF
DECATUR ILLINOIS AND 10 MILE EAST OF SPRINGFIELD ILLINOIS.
THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 35 MPH.
AT 623 PM CDT ONE INCH HAIL WAS REPORTED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF
SPRINGFIELD ILLINOIS.

REMEMBER..A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCES DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS
OF 60 MPH...LARGE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING AND HEAVY RAINS THAT CAN
QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING AREA.
