THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1200 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF

SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS...COMAL

AT 745 AM CDT STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE OCCURRING IN CENTRAL
COMAL COUNTY.  THE LATEST RAINFALL IN INFORMATION FROM COMAL
COUNTY INDICATES 4 TO 5 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN IN NORTHWEST
COMAL COUNTY OVERNIGHT.  LOW WATER CROSSINGS IN COMAL COUNTY
WILL FLOOD RAPIDLY.  CREEKS AND STREAMS WILL BE AT OR ABOVE
BANKFULL THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN
REPORTED.  TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS AS REQUIRED TO PROTECT LIFE
AND PROPERTY.

REMEMBER..DEATHS DURING FLASH FLOODING ARE FREQUENTLY RELATED TO
MOTORISTS DRIVING INTO FLOODED LOW WATER CROSSINGS.

DANGEROUS LIGHTNING AND GUSTY WINDS OFTEN ACCOMPANY FLASH FLOOD
PRODUCING THUNDERSTORMS.
