000 TTAA00 KMCI 080053 SVRMCI KSC121-080130- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE KANSAS CITY MO 653 PM CST MON APR 7 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 730 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF EAST CENTRAL KANSAS...NORTHERN MIAMI AT 730 PM CST...RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 15 MILES SOUTHWEST OF OLATHE KANSAS MOVING TOWARD THE SOUTHEAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR. REMEMBER A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAN PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH..LARGE HAIL..DEADLY LIGHTNING..AND HEAVY RAIN THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD LOW LYING AREAS. THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING..SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IF ONE IS SPOTTED.
