THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS EXTENDED THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 9 AM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF
SOUTHEAST WYOMING..NORTHWEST ALBANY AND NORTHEAST CARBON.

FLASH FLOODING RESULTING FROM THE PIERCE RESERVOIR DAM FAILURE
CONTINUED DOWN ROCK CREEK.  THE FLOOD CREST WAS NOW 4 TO 5 FEET HIGH
NAD APPROACHING GARRETT ROAD 15 MILES EAST OF THE TOWN OF MEDICINE BOW.
THE FLOOD CREST IS EXPECTED TO REACH MEDICINE BOW AROUND 8 AM THIS
MORNING.

PEOPLE ALONG ROCK CREEK SHOULD BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND
IF THREATENED.  THIS IS STILL A DANGEROUS FLASH FLOOD SITUATION FOR
LOW LYING AREAS ALONG ROCK CREEK.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE ACROSS ANY
FLOODED ROADWAYS..YOUR VEHICLE COULD BE QUICKLY SWEPT DOWNSTREAM AND
COULD COST YOU YOUR LIFE.
