THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND 
SPECIAL MARINE WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 330 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE 
FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF

SOUTH CAROLINA...CHARLESTON AND SOUTHERN COLLETON
...THIS WARNING ALSO INCLUDES THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS FOR THE
COUNTIES JUST MENTIONED

THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF EDISTO AND KIAWAH ISLAND

COASTAL WATERS FROM EDISTO ISLAND TO FOLLY BEACH

AT 220 PM EDT  RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM JUST EAST OF
BEAUFORT MOVING SLOWLY TO THE NORTHEAST.

IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNED COUNTY..REMEMBER THAT THE HEAVY RAINS
ASSOCIATED WITH THESE STORMS CAN QUICKLY FLOOD LOW LYING AREAS.

IF YOU ARE NEAR THE WARNED AREA.. BE ALERT FOR CHANGING WEATHER
CONDITIONS AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS THAT MAY BE ISSUED.

FISHERMAN..CAMPERS AND BOATERS IN OR NEAR THE WARNED AREA SHOULD
GET TO SAFE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.  PREPARE FOR SUDDEN STRONG GUSTY
WINDS..POSSIBLE HAIL AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING.

BOATERS ON THE INTER-COASTAL WATERWAYS OR COASTAL WATERS OF THE
MENTiIONED COUNTIES SHOULD MAKE FOR SAFE PORT.  BE PREPARED FOR
STRONG GUSTY WINDS..HAIL AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING.
