THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND
SPECIAL MARINE WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 2 PM EDT FRI FOR PEOPLE IN THE
FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF CHIPPEWA..LUCE AND MACKINAC

NORTHERN MICHIGAN (COUNTIES) AND ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS OF LAKES
SUPERIOR AND MICHIGAN.

RADAR AT 1 PM EDT INDICATED A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS SOME SEVERE
EXTENDING FROM WHITEFISH POINT TO SENEY. THESE STORMS ARE MOVING TO
THE SOUTHEAST AT 40 MPH.

REMEMBER A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAN PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF
60 MPH...LARGE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND HEAVY RAINS THAT CAN
QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING AREA.
