THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1000 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF

WEST CENTRAL LOWER MICHIGAN...NORTHWEST OCEANA

IT HAS BEEN REPORTED THAT THE HART DAM IN NORTHWEST OCEANA COUNTY
HAS FAILED AROUND 710PM EDT ON THE PENTWATER RIVER.
THE NEAREST DOWNSTREAM TOWN IS PENTWATER MICHIGAN LOCATED 10 MILES
FROM THE FAILED DAM.  THE TRAVEL TIME OF THE CREST IS 2 HOURS FROM
THE TIME OF THE DAM FAILURE..ABOUT 910PM EDT.

THESE FLOOD WATERS ARE MOVING DOWN THE PENTWATER RIVER TOWARDS
PENTWATER AND ARE EXPECTED TO REACH PENTWATER AROUND 815PM EDT.
PEOPLE LIVING IN THE FLOOD PRONE AREA SHOULD MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND
IMMEDIATELY!

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN
REPORTED. TAKE ACTION TVO SAFEGUARD LIFE AND PROPERTY.

 BOATERS AND MARINE INTERESTS SHOULD ENSURE BOATS ARE TIED WITH
