About 3,000 killed. Sapper gives death toll as about 2030. Pyroclastic flows before morning of Dec 12 took around 3,000 lives, 2.030 of which were in the Kendhar area, 408 from Tarua, 70 from Kilongan, and the remainder from Talawid and Motane. (reference #9675)
