May 24, 1960. A tsunami warning was issued in Hawaii on the basis of supposed tsunami observations accompanying the indicated aftershock of the main quake of May 22. No indications were seen in Hawaiian records, and it is supposed the S. American observations were merely of oscillations continuing from the main tsunami. (reference #79)
