1880, September 2. Ionian Sea, Greece, Peloponnesus. A strong and long earthquake took place in Kalavryta. The area of the strongest shocks stretched through Leukosia (Levkos ?) to Dura (Dhourali ?) near Tripoli (Tripolitsa). The earthquake was felt strongly in Kleitoria and Mapoka; the River Strezova
dried up completely, and rockfalls came down into the River Ladon in the same region so that it needed 5 hours to force its new course. (reference #2130)
