1674, May 6, 4:30. There was a shock of moderate strength (one of the numerous recurrent shocks of the earthquake of February 17, 1674) which was accompanied by a booming rumble from the mountains on the Hitu Peninsula. There was a weak tidal wave in Ambon Bay.
