1648, Febuary 29 (mistakenly 2). Validity -1. At Ambon, in the region of Fort Victoria, there was a considerable earthquake with a strong roar like the pounding of distant surf, but there was no considerable damage. This reference led to the mistaken assumption of flooding in Ambon bay in Wichmann and Cox's compendia.
