    * WHAT...For the Coastal Flood Statement, isolated minor coastal flooding. For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...Coastal Palm Beach County, Coastal Broward County and Coastal Miami Dade County. * WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Statement, until 5 PM EDT this afternoon. For the High Rip Current Risk, through Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...Some water on low lying roads and property. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

    Do not drive through flooded roadways. Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.

Predictions are astronomical. They account for the moon and the sun, not the weather: onshore wind, low air pressure and high river flow hold the water above the prediction, offshore wind and high pressure hold it below.

Spring tides, the largest ranges of the month, follow the new and full moon by a day or two. Neap tides, the smallest, follow the quarter moons.
