This crossed the far northeastern corner of Lake Ontario and the entirety of the US waters of the St. Lawrence River. Gusty winds were reported with this activity, mostly over the water.

CAPE values were 1000 to 1200 J/kg, and bulk shear values were 35-40 knots.

Unstable conditions were evident ahead of this, with about 2000 J/kg CAPE developing by late afternoon. Moderate mid-level shear was present with a shortwave just ahead of the front.

This line eventually evolved into a bit of a bowing segment as it took on a more northeast to southwest orientation during the evening hours while crossing the St.

The first was over the North Country and St. Lawrence Valley and aided by a well-developed vortex that had traversed the Toronto area early in the afternoon.

The strongest storms, occurred with the trough as it tracked east with increased instability and shear ahead of it.
