- Marine Thunderstorm Winds and Waterspout in South Atlantic Coastal Waters, May 23, 2017A strong line of thunderstorms develop across portions of southeast Georgia and southeast South Carolina in the afternoon hours. This line eventually impacted the coast and the adjacent Atlantic coastal waters, primarily producing strong wind gusts.

Mid-level southwest flow across the Florida peninsula allowed deep moisture to move in from the eastern Gulf of Mexico.
- Marine Thunderstorm Winds and Waterspout in South Atlantic Coastal Waters, August 2, 2021Numerous afternoon thunderstorms developed along the sea breeze collision and moved toward the coast. A few storms became severe, with one producing a waterspout in New Smyrna Beach, and others producing many strong wind gusts in Brevard County.
