- Excessive Heat in Rhode Island, June 22 to 25, 2025Very hot and humid weather occurred in southern New England over the course of 4 days, peaking on Tuesday June 24th when heat index values reached 105 to 110. All four climate sites easily set daily records, and Providence and Boston set all time June high temperature records.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in Rhode Island, July 6 to 7, 2010A strong ridge built into Southern New England resulting in temperatures nearing 100 with high humidity. Heat index values ranged from 100 to 106 for most of Southern New England on the 6th and again on the 7th in a more limited area, generally the Connecticut River Valley.
