- High Wind in Puerto Rico, February 4, 1998An approaching cold front produced strong winds across most of Puerto Rico. Commonwealth Civil Defense indicated downed trees over power lines in Carolina, Bayamon, and Barranquitas and homes damaged in Mayaguez and Utuado. Around 22000 residents were without electrical power.
- High Wind and Strong Wind in Puerto Rico, January 15 to 17, 2000A strong cold front moved across Puerto Rico during the evening of Saturday 15, 2000. Strong winds followed this front especially during the early morning hours of Sunday. A spotter at Rincon in the western part of Puerto Rico reported a maximum wind gust of 70 mph.
