- Cold in Oklahoma, January 12 to 18, 2007A strong arctic cold front moved through Oklahoma on the 12th, bringing with it several rounds of wintry precipitation and cold temperatures. The extreme cold took its toll on those who were outside for prolonged periods of time.
- Cold in Oklahoma, January 18 to 20, 1996A strong arctic air mass settled in across Oklahoma early in the morning of the 18th, and remained over the state through the 20th, resulting in two deaths. Low temperatures fell into the single digits and high temperatures rose only to around 20 degrees on the 19th.
- Cold in Oklahoma, February 14 to 16, 2021Extreme and record breaking cold peaked across Oklahoma and Texas during the 14th-16th, with wind chills of -20 to as low as -30 degrees reported in much of the area.

- Cold in Oklahoma, November 25, 1996A transient took shelter from the cold weather in a parked pickup truck near the intersection of North Santa Fe and NE 50th. He died of hypothermia and was found the next day.
- Extreme Cold and Cold in Oklahoma, February 18 to 21, 2025A pronounced intrusion of arctic air arrived across the Southern Plains behind a cold front on the 18th, resulting in a prolonged period of dangerous cold/wind chills that persisted through the 21st.
- Cold in Oklahoma, January 12 to 16, 2024Behind the passage of a high amplitude/strong upper wave on the 11th, a prolonged cold intrusion, originating across high latitudes, impacted much of the central United States. Wind chill readings as low as -20 to -25 degrees were noted.
- Cold in Oklahoma, February 1 to 5, 1996On January 29th a strong cold front moved across the state, bringing with it temperatures in the single digits and wind chills of 30 to 40 degrees below zero. Temperatures did not rise above freezing for over 6 days...until late on the afternoon of the 5th.
- Cold in Oklahoma, January 7 to 10, 2010An arctic air mass moved southward out of the Central Plains and took up residence across all of southern Arkansas, southeast Oklahoma, northeast Texas as well as northwest Louisiana.
- Extreme Cold and Cold in Oklahoma, January 20 to 21, 2025An expansive, high-amplitude upper trough sat across the eastern two-thirds of the CONUS during the middle of the month. An embedded system (and associated surface front) made quick southeastward progress across the Plains on the 20th.
- Cold in Oklahoma, February 12 to 13, 2025Dangerous temperatures and wind chills occurred behind a strong cold front during the evening of the 12th into morning of the 13th.
- Cold in Oklahoma, January 5 to 6, 2025An arctic airmass, yielding dangerous temperatures/wind chills, settled across the Plains on the 5th and 6th behind the passage of a cold front.
- Cold in Oklahoma, January 19, 2024A high latitude airmass settled across northern portions of the WFO Norman Forecast Area on the morning of the 19th. This resulted in wind chill values ranging from -5 to -20-degrees across portions of the area.
- Cold in Oklahoma, October 31, 2014The combination of light winds and temperatures below 36 degrees led to the development of frost across Texas County during the early morning hours of the 31st. The temperature dropped to 33 degrees at Hooker (Texas County), Guymon (Texas County), and Goodwell (Texas County).
- Cold in Oklahoma, January 15, 2007An upper low moved out of the Rockies and into the Central Plains states which ushered in cold arctic air on strong northerly winds. This resulted in some dangerously cold wind chill values across the Oklahoma panhandle.
- Cold in Oklahoma, May 2 to 3, 2013A residual cold airmass over the Oklahoma Panhandle from a cold frontal passage earlier in the week allowed temperatures to drop below freezing during the evening hours of the 2nd.
- Cold in Oklahoma, May 4, 2013The residual cold airmass over the Oklahoma Panhandle from a cold frontal passage earlier in the week had begun to modify. This kept overnight low temperatures from cooling as quickly as previous nights.
- Cold in Oklahoma, April 22 to 23, 2013A cold front moved through the Oklahoma Panhandle during the afternoon hours of the 22nd. The post frontal airmass allowed temperatures to drop below freezing shortly before 12:00 AM CST on the 23rd.
- Cold in Oklahoma, April 23 to 24, 2013A cold post-frontal airmass was well established across the Oklahoma Panhandle, and allowed temperatures to drop below freezing from the evening hours of the 23rd through the morning hours of the 24th.
- Cold in Oklahoma, April 18 to 19, 2013All of the Oklahoma Panhandle dropped below freezing for several hours during the late night hours of the 18th and morning hours of the 19th.
- Cold in Oklahoma, April 17 to 18, 2013A cold post frontal airmass was well established across the Oklahoma Panhandle during the night of the 17th. This cold airmass allowed temperatures to drop below freezing slightly prior to midnight and remain so until the mid-morning hours on the 18th.
- Cold in Oklahoma, May 2, 2013A cold front moved through the Oklahoma Panhandle during the day on the 1st, and the post frontal airmass allowed temperatures to drop below freezing quickly after sunset. These subfreezing temperatures threatened sensitive vegetation during the start of the growing season.
- Cold in Oklahoma, October 18 to 19, 2013A cold front that moved through the Oklahoma Panhandle during the daylight hours of the 18th allowed temperatures to reach freezing during the early evening hours of the 18th and persist into the morning hours of the 19th.
- Cold in Oklahoma, December 29 to 31, 2014An arctic air mass with temperatures as low as the single digits in combination with north winds around 15 to 25 mph resulted in dangerously cold wind chill values across the Oklahoma Panhandle.
- Cold in Oklahoma, April 14 to 15, 2014A cold front moved through the Oklahoma Panhandle during the late night hours of the 14th. The cooler post frontal airmass allowed temperatures to drop well below freezing by the early morning hours of the 15th.
