- Dense Fog in New Jersey, February 21, 2014The combination of a relatively moist air mass, light winds preceding a warm front and snow cover produced widespread dense fog in southern New Jersey during the morning and in northern New Jersey during the morning and afternoon of the 21st.
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, December 24 to 25, 2014Dense fog developed across the New York metropolitan area impacting travel during a very busy travel period.
- Winter Weather and Dense Fog in New Jersey, December 19, 2004The combination of a weak high pressure system over the region and low level moisture left in place by a departing low pressure system to the east caused dense fog to form across central and southern New Jersey after midnight EST on the 19th.
- Dense Fog and Freezing Fog in New Jersey, January 14 to 15, 2014A high pressure system over New Jersey combined with moist conditions at the surface from the rain earlier in the day on the 14th to produce widespread dense fog and even some black ice in New Jersey from the middle of the evening on the 14th through the middle of the morning on…
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, December 13 to 15, 2006The combination of an unseasonably mild and moist air mass coupled with light overnight winds produced dense fog across southern New Jersey during the night of the 13th and the morning of the 14th.
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, February 22 to 23, 2003The combination of heavy rain, humid air moving over the snow pack and relatively light winds produced widespread dense fog across New Jersey from the evening of the 22nd through the morning of the 23rd. Widespread visibilities were under one quarter of a mile.
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, October 5 to 6, 2007A high pressure system that remained over the Delmarva Peninsula for the third consecutive morning caused widespread dense fog to form across the region. Dense fog formed in all areas around midnight EDT on the 6th and took until around 10 a.m. EDT to dissipate.
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, January 12 to 13, 2013Dense fog affected travel on both the mornings of the 12th and 13th in New Jersey. The most widespread and greatest impact on traveling occurred on the morning of the 13th. The fog was caused by a relatively moist and stagnant flow over the region on that weekend.
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, December 31, 2022An unusually long-lasting daylight dense fog event developed across most of New Jersey on December 31st, 2022.
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, November 23 to 24, 1999A nearly stationary high pressure system anchored over the nearby Atlantic brought New Jersey dense fog for four days from the 21st through the 24th of November. Widespread visibilities of a quarter of a mile or less occurred.
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, November 21 to 22, 1999
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, November 22 to 23, 1999
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, November 20 to 21, 1999
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, January 6 to 7, 2026A moist air mass north of a stalled warm front resulted in widespread dense fog late on January 6th and early on January 7th. The fog dissipated after sunrise.
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, January 28, 2009An area of low pressure developed across the Gulf Coasts states during the 27th. A warm front extended northeastward from this storm into the southern Mid Atlantic region.
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, May 15 to 16, 2009A weak onshore flow from the Atlantic Ocean that preceded the passage of a warm front helped produce dense fog across New Jersey from the evening of the 15th into the first half of the day on the 16th.
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, October 25 to 26, 2022Moisture from rains on October 24th combined with a stagnant air mass and light winds helped result in widespread dense fog across portions of New Jersey late on October 25th and early on October 26th.
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, February 17 to 18, 2026A moist onshore flow above the existing snow pack ahead of an advancing warm front resulted in widespread dense fog late on February 17th and early on February 18th. The fog dissipated by late morning.
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, December 9 to 10, 2024Warm moist air advecting over a cold surface air mass resulted in widespread dense fog starting late on December 9th and continuing through much of the day December 10th.
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, November 13 to 14, 2007The combination of light winds, clear skies and rain that fell earlier in the day helped widespread dense fog form across central and southern New Jersey from the evening of the 13th into the morning of the 14th. Widespread visibilities were one-quarter of a mile or less.
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, November 14 to 15, 2010An unseasonably moist air mass coupled with light winds helped form dense fog across the southern half of New Jersey from the evening of the 14th into the morning of the 15th.
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, January 5 to 6, 2014The combination of snow on the ground, a moist southerly flow and a slowly northward moving warm front all helped produce dense fog in southwest, central and northwest New Jersey from the evening of the 5th into the overnight in the west central and northwest part of the state.
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, December 2 to 3, 2023A stagnant and very moist air mass trapped between two stationary fronts resulted in a redevelopment of widespread dense fog late on December 2nd lasting into early on December 3.
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, November 4, 2022High pressure directly overhead provided in light winds, clear skies and a stagnating air mass, resulting in the development of dense fog across portions of central and southern New Jersey early on November 4th.
- Dense Fog in New Jersey, August 21, 2013A combination of a high pressure system over the area and a very humid air mass caused dense fog to form in southwest New Jersey during the morning of the 21st. Visibilities were reduced to less than one-quarter of a mile at times.
