- Cold in New Jersey, January 28, 2005The combination of light winds courtesy of being located under a large high pressure system and snow cover produced for many locations one of the coldest mornings of the winter season in New Jersey.
- Cold in New Jersey, January 14 to 29, 2003A cold frontal passage on the 13th initiated about a two week run of unseasonably cold weather, even by January standards across New Jersey. There was one cold related death and a few others that were indirectly caused by the cold weather.
- Blizzard and Winter Storm in New Jersey, January 4, 2018An area of low pressure tracked up the east coast interacting with a cold front which lead to rapid development of a winter storm across the state. This storm quickly moved out by the 5th. However, snowfall accumulations and gusty winds occurred with the storm.
- Cold in New Jersey, February 15, 2015The combination of strong to high winds and an approaching arctic air mass produced wind chill factors of 10 to 15 degrees below zero during the first half of the day on the 15th in New Jersey. One person in Ocean County died from hypothermia.

- Cold in New Jersey, January 25, 2004An elderly woman in Long Hill Township froze to death after she slipped on ice in her backyard and fell into a basement window well. Her body was found on the 26th. The overnight low temperature on the 25th in Long Valley (Morris County) was zero.
- Cold in New Jersey, February 15 to 16, 2015The near arrival of the center of the arctic air mass brought some of the lowest wind chills and temperatures of the winter season to New Jersey. While winds by the morning of the 16th were not as strong as they were on the morning of the 15th, air temperatures were lower.
- Cold in New Jersey, December 20, 2004A high pressure system of arctic origin built into New Jersey on the 20th. This was one of the coldest air masses of the entire winter season.
- Cold in New Jersey, January 9 to 11, 2004An arctic air mass brought some of the coldest weather in years to New Jersey from the evening of the 9th through the morning of the 11th.
- Cold in New Jersey, January 15 to 16, 2004Following the departing Alberta Clipper low pressure system, another arctic air mass invaded New Jersey. While temperatures were slightly higher than the previous outbreak on the 10th and 11th, winds were stronger and the wind chill factors were lower.

- Cold in New Jersey, January 26, 2007The combination of a strong northwest flow around an arctic high pressure system and because this high originated near the North Pole produced the coldest morning in two years across most of New Jersey on the 26th. Most low temperatures were in the single numbers.
- Cold in New Jersey, March 6, 2007The combination of the strong northwest winds and an unseasonably cold air mass produced wind chill factors around zero in the southern half of the state and around ten degrees below zero in the northern half of the state on the morning of the 6th.
- Cold in New Jersey, January 16 to 18, 2009A large arctic high pressure system moved toward the area during the 16th and 17th. The extent of the arctic air mass kept maximum temperatures only in the teens, with even some single digits across northwestern New Jersey.
- Cold in New Jersey, January 7, 2014One of the harshest arctic outbreaks in years occurred in New Jersey on the 7th. Some record calendar day low temperatures occurred and combined with strong northwest winds produced wind chill factors as low as 15 to 25 degrees below zero in most areas that morning.
- Cold in New Jersey, January 22, 2014Strong northwest winds behind the departing strong low pressure system coupled with another arctic air mass dropped low temperatures on the morning of the 22nd into the single numbers with some below zero lows in the northwest part of the state in New Jersey.
- Cold in New Jersey, January 4, 2014A high pressure system that moved over New Jersey coupled with fresh snow cover from the winter storm on the 2nd and 3rd gave the area one of its coldest winter morning in years. This was the first of three arctic blasts in the state during the month.
- Cold in New Jersey, January 7 to 8, 2015The arrival of an arctic air mass brought one of the coldest mornings of the month of January to most of New Jersey. Morning low temperatures were mainly in the single numbers above zero.
- Cold in New Jersey, February 19 to 20, 2015The arrival of another arctic air mass brought some of the lowest wind chills as well as the lowest temperatures of the winter season to New Jersey on the 20th and 21st.
- Cold in New Jersey, February 4 to 6, 1996The coldest air mass of the winter season moved in after the snow storm of the 2nd and 3rd. Except for the immediate coast and along parts of the Delaware River and Bay, most locations had low temperatures below zero on the 5th and 6th.
- Cold in New Jersey, January 17 to 20, 1997The coldest air mass of the winter season moved into New Jersey on Friday the 17th. The high pressure system came straight from the arctic tundra and moved southeast reaching the Middle and South Atlantic States on the 19th and 20th.
- Cold in New Jersey, April 9 to 11, 1997An unseasonably cold air mass from Canada moved across New Jersey from April 9th through the 11th. A cold front moved through the region during the night of the 8th and ushered in this unseasonably cold air mass.
- Cold in New Jersey, July 31, 2000July 2000 was one of the coolest Julys on record for the state of New Jersey.
