- Blizzard and Winter Storm in Nevada, November 23, 2010A strong arctic front brought blizzard and near blizzard conditions and heavy snow to portions of northern Nevada. U.S. Highway 93 between Wells and Jackpot was closed for about 6 hours due to blizzard conditions.
- Blizzard and Heavy Snow in Nevada, January 9 to 12, 2017Strong low pressure over the northeast Pacific on the 9th moved southeast slowly, reaching northern California on the 12th.
- Blizzard and High Wind in Nevada, December 15, 2000A strong cold front moving across northern Nevada produced a wind gust to 67 mph at a remote sensor in Paradise Valley in Humboldt county and a gust to 61 mph at a remote sensor 18 miles south of Denio also in Humboldt county.
- Blizzard and Heavy Snow in Nevada, January 28 to 29, 2013A strong storm system brought heavy snow to much of northern Nevada along with strong gusty winds. Some valleys received 6 to 7 inches of snow with over a foot in the mountains.
- Blizzard in Nevada, January 1, 2004Winds estimated at 40 to 50 mph reduced visibility to less than 20 feet at times in blowing snow. The winds also caused five foot drifts of snow in residential areas in Wildhorse.
