- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Mississippi, January 14 to 18, 2024As an Arctic air mass moved south through Mississippi, light to moderate precipitation was quick to freeze as it fell through the cold surface air.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Mississippi, January 24 to 26, 2026A historically damaging ice storm occurred from southwestern Mississippi northeast through the Delta region into North Mississippi.

- Winter Storm and Heavy Snow in Mississippi, December 7 to 8, 2017An early season winter storm brought heavy snow to much of Mississippi between the evening of the 7th and into the afternoon of the 8th. The greatest amounts fell mainly south and east of the Natchez Trace corridor. Amounts of up to 7 to 8 inches were measured in the Pine Belt.

- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Mississippi, February 15, 2021While several rounds of winter weather occurred leading up to February 15, 2021, the first major winter precipitation event occurred on this day.
- Flash Flooding and Ice Storm in Mississippi, February 17 to 18, 2021As an arctic air mass continued to build southward across the South on February 17th, another wave of precipitation overspread this cold air mass across much of Mississippi.
- Winter Storm and Heavy Snow in Mississippi, February 17 to 18, 2021A weak disturbance ahead of the main trough brought light snow to northeast Arkansas and the Missouri Bootheel during the early morning hours of Wednesday, February 17th. Meanwhile, another potent mid-level trough approached the Lower Mississippi Valley.
- Winter Storm in Mississippi, February 1 to 3, 1996A mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain covered much of North Mississippi. Between 2 and 5 inches of snow and ice accumulated across the area. Numerous trees and power lines were knocked down due to ice and snow accumulations. Many roads were closed due to the icy conditions.

A mix of freezing rain, sleet, and light snow fell across the northern third of the forecast area.
- Winter Storm in Mississippi, February 9, 2011A low pressure system tracked along the Gulf Coast during the day on February 9th, 2011. Cold arctic air was already in place across the Mid-South thus the precipitation fell in the form of snow.
- Winter Storm in Mississippi, February 18, 2006A mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain fell on much of North Mississippi. Over extreme northwest portions of the state, about 1" of a mix of snow and sleet fell along with 1/4" of ice accumulation.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Mississippi, March 7 to 8, 2008A low pressure system developed along the Gulf of Mexico and tracked northeastward into the Southeastern United States. An abundance of moisture was associated with the system.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Mississippi, March 1, 2009A strong upper level low pressure system moved through Arkansas during the night of February 28th, 2009. The upper level low produced bands of snow across North Mississippi during the evening hours which continued into the early morning hours of March 1st, 2009.
- Winter Storm in Mississippi, February 25, 2015A low pressure system tracked from the Gulf of Mexico into Northern Florida on February 25th, 2015. Precipitation with the system spread northward into North Mississippi, East-Central Arkansas, and Southwest Tennessee.
- Winter Storm in Mississippi, March 4 to 5, 2015An arctic cold front moved into the Mid-South during the daytime hours of March 4, 2015 as an upper level disturbance moved through the region. Showers with a few embedded thunderstorms developed along and behind the front.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Mississippi, January 15 to 16, 2018An arctic front swept through the region during the afternoon and evening hours on January 15th. As cold air deepened snow developed across the region in response to a an upper level disturbance.
- Winter Storm in Mississippi, February 14 to 15, 2021A weak disturbance on Sunday resulted in a seeder/feeder process and a period of light snow across much of the area with up to an inch falling.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Mississippi, March 11 to 12, 2022An arctic front moved through the Mid-South during the day on March 11, 2022. Cold air filtered into the region. Meanwhile, a potent upper-level disturbance tracked from the southwest US into the Mid-South.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Mississippi, January 14 to 15, 2024A major winter storm impacted the Mid-South on January 14-15, 2024. Transportation was greatly affected. Snow spread across the Mid-South during the afternoon hours on January 14th as an upper jet intensified across the region in advance of a potent upper trough.
- Winter Storm in Mississippi, January 9 to 10, 2025A Gulf Low developed along the southeast Texas coast and tracked northeastward into southern and central Mississippi and Alabama on January 9-10, 2025. The Mid-South remained on the cold side of the low resulting in heavy snowfall across most of the Mid-South.
- Winter Storm in Mississippi, January 15 to 16, 1998A winter storm dumped a mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow across much of northern MIssissippi. Up to 8 inches of sleet and snow accumulated in some areas.
- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Mississippi, January 29 to 30, 2010The Mid-South had a favorable set-up for winter weather during the time frame of January 28th-January 30th, 2010. A cold front moved through the area on January 27th allowing cold arctic air to filter into the region behind the front.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Mississippi, January 22, 2016An upper level low pressure system moved into the Mid-South around midnight on January 22nd, 2016. Precipitation began in the form of freezing rain and changed over to snow during the early morning hours of January 22nd, 2016.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Mississippi, January 12, 2018A potent closed upper level low tracked across the region as a powerful cold front moved through the Mid-South. A large area of heavy winter precipitation developed across the Mid-South.
