- Tornadoes and Flash Flooding in Maryland, September 24, 2001Severe thunderstorms moved through Central Maryland during the early evening of the 24th. One thunderstorm produced a devastating F3 tornado which was on the ground for 17.5 miles from College Park in Prince George's County to just east of Columbia in Howard County.
- Flash Flood and Flooding in Maryland, July 7 to 8, 2005The remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy moved across the Mid Atlantic on Thursday and Friday, July 7 and July 8. The primary hazardous conditions that developed were from the torrential rainfall associated with this storm.
- Tropical Storm and Storm Surge in Maryland, September 16, 1999Hurricane Floyd made landfall just east of Cape Fear, North Carolina in the early morning hours of the 16th and moved north-northeast across extreme southeast Virginia to near Ocean City, Maryland by evening on the 16th.
- Flash Flooding and Hail in Maryland, July 14 to 15, 2000A cold front moved across the region during the evening of the 14th. Thunderstorms that developed ahead and along this front produced very heavy rainfall, frequent lightning, large hail, and winds in excess of 55 MPH. Across Baltimore County, heavy rain flooded several roads.
- Flooding and Strong Wind in Maryland, October 8, 2005The remnants of Tropical Storm Tammy caused widespread heavy rainfall between 3 to 7 inches across the region. Numerous reports of flooded roads were received due to the prolonged rains.
- Heavy Rain in Maryland, July 25, 2005An overnight thunderstorm complex moved through the mid-Atlantic. This system caused a few strong to severe thunderstorms during the early morning.
- Hail and Damaging Wind in Maryland, June 17, 2000Slow moving thunderstorms dropped very heavy rain across Maryland during the afternoon and evening of the 17th. In Washington County, some streams rose above bankful and roads were temporarily covered by water after a deluge of rain. Over 1.25 inches of rain fell in 90 minutes.
- Hail and Damaging Winds in Maryland, June 15, 2000A line of thunderstorms which produced winds in excess of 55 MPH, large hail, heavy rain, and frequent lighting moved across the area during the afternoon and evening of the 15th. In Washington County, several trees were downed on the north end of Hagerstown.
- Tropical Storm and Storm Surge in Maryland, September 18 to 19, 2003Tropical Storm Isabel caused a record breaking tide and storm surge up the Chesapeake Bay, heavy rain and strong power outage producing winds. Isabel made landfall as a hurricane near Drum Inlet, North Carolina around 100 p.m.
- Flash Flood and Damaging Winds in Maryland, June 28, 2005With a tropical airmass in place, strong to severe thunderstorms occurred. These thunderstorms produced damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall across a large portion of the Mid-Appalachian and Mid-Atlantic regions.
- Lightning Strike and Heavy Rain in Maryland, July 3 to 4, 2000During the afternoon and evening of the 3rd, thunderstorms which produced heavy rainfall and frequent lightning moved across central Maryland. In Calvert County, a 37 year old man was killed by lightning on Solomon's Island.
- Tornado and Flash Flooding in Maryland, August 26, 1999A line of intense thunderstorms moved across much of Maryland during the afternoon, producing damaging winds and frequent lightning. Storm winds weakened and the speed of the line slowed as it moved south and east of Frederick and Carroll Counties.
- Storm Surge and High Wind in Maryland, September 1 to 2, 2006The Tide crest at Annapolis was 3.56 MLLW late Friday. Moderate coastal flooding occurred due to the storm surge from the remnants of Tropical Storm Ernesto. In Charles County, mandatory evacuations were ordered due to the flooding, with many roads flooded.

- Flash Flooding and Hail in Maryland, June 22 to 23, 2001During the afternoon of the 22nd, numerous showers and thunderstorms developed just east of the Appalachian Mountains and moved very slowly east across northwest and north central Maryland through the pre-dawn hours of the 23rd.
- Heavy Rain and Strong Wind in Maryland, March 21, 2001A Nor'easter moved from the North Carolina coast to New England from the 20th to the 22nd. As it passed by the Mid Atlantic region, it dropped heavy precipitation between midnight and mid afternoon on the 21st.
- Hail and Damaging Winds in Maryland, July 16, 2000Scattered thunderstorms that produced winds in excess of 55 MPH, heavy rainfall, large hail, and frequent lightning moved across Maryland during the morning and afternoon of the 16th. In St. Mary's County, a fire started by lightning heavily damaged a home in Hollywood.

- Flash Flooding and Heavy Rain in Maryland, August 25, 1999Showers producing very heavy rain moved very slowly very slowly across South Central Maryland during the afternoon. The deluge caused several streets and creeks to become rapidly flowing rivers.
- Flash Flooding and Hail in Maryland, August 30, 2001Thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall, frequent lightning, and damaging winds moved through Central Maryland during the afternoon and early evening of the 30th. In Howard County, the Patapsco River overflowed sending water rushing down onto Route 1 in Elkridge.
