- Frost and Freeze in Kansas, April 7 to 9, 2007Unusually warm conditions during the month of March caused early season growth in vegetation across extreme southeast Kansas. Hay along with the wheat crop had began to mature.
- Frost and Freeze in Kansas, April 3 to 8, 2007A late in the season artic airmass moved over the Central Plains at the beginning of April. Overnight temperatures in the period dropped into the teens and 20s.
- Frost and Freeze in Kansas, November 18, 2010During the early to mid-morning hours on the 18th, a thin layer of ice formed on area roads in and around the Wichita area, mainly on bridges and access ramps, causing more than two-dozen automobile accidents between midnight and 9 am.
- Frost and Freeze in Kansas, April 4 to 8, 2007An Arctic blast brought freezing temperatures to Central, South Central and Southeast Kansas. Freezing temperatures started the evening of the 4th in Central Kansas, the 5th for South Central Kansas and the 6th for Southeast Kansas.
- Frost and Freeze in Kansas, May 14, 2004A late season frost/freeze on the morning of May 14th resulted in crop damage, especially to winter wheat which was just coming out of dormancy and actively growing. Up to 60% crop losses were projected in some counties.
- Frost and Freeze in Kansas, April 4 to 10, 2007After one of the warmest March's on record, an unprecedented spell of cold weather hovered over the region between April 4th and April 10th. Low temperatures dropped into the upper teens and twenties. Trees and flowers which had budded or bloomed were extensively damaged.
- Frost and Freeze in Kansas, October 13, 2006A strong cold front pushed into the area and brought the first freezing temperatures of the fall season to north-central Kansas. Overnight temperatures fell into the 20s to around 30 degrees. Readings ranged from 26 degrees at Burr Oak to 30 at Beloit.
- Frost and Freeze in Kansas, April 28 to 29, 2005USDA estimated that 170,000 acres of wheat crop in Greeley county were impacted by freezing temperatures with an expected yield loss of 10-20%.
- Frost and Freeze in Kansas, April 6 to 10, 2018A late season hard freeze damaged orchard's produce. Overnight temperatures dropped into the middle and upper 20s for several nights. While no dollar amount is available at this time, it is estimated between 10 to 25 percent of the potential produce may be lost.
- Frost and Freeze in Kansas, April 20 to 21, 2021A late season cold snap brought freezing temperatures to southeast Kansas. With many fruit trees in the flowering process and the winter wheat crop beginning to grow, widespread prolonged temperatures well below freezing in the 20s impacted these crops.
- Frost and Freeze in Kansas, June 6, 1998Late season freeze damaged 115,200 acres of corn, milo and wheat. Extent of the damage was unknown.
