- Winter Weather in Indiana, January 8, 2022A very thin layer of dry air in the lowest levels of the atmosphere led to surface temperatures dropping quickly during the early afternoon as light liquid precipitation began falling on western central Indiana.
- Winter Weather in Indiana, December 21 to 22, 2008An arctic cold front swept through northern Indiana early on December 21st. Strong west winds of 20 to 35 mph, combined with lake-effect snow showers created reduced visibilities and blowing snow. This led to icy road conditions.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Indiana, January 12 to 13, 2012Snow and blowing snow impacted much of northern Indiana late January 12th into January 13th as a low pressure system deepened northward towards Lake Huron.
- Winter Weather in Indiana, March 17, 2017A wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain with temperatures in the upper 20s to near 30 created icy roads during the morning hours of March 17th. An accident in LaPorte County resulted in 3 deaths.
- Winter Weather in Indiana, December 16 to 17, 2016On the evening of December 16 into the early morning of December 17, light freezing rain and freezing drizzle fell across portions of central Indiana, including the Indianapolis Metro Area. A glaze of ice formed on area roads and caused hundreds of accidents.

- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Indiana, January 7, 2010Strong upper level low pressure continued to strengthen as it moved toward and into Indiana from the west on the morning of January 7th.
- Winter Weather in Indiana, February 14, 2016An upper level system brought snow to central Indiana during the day on February 14. Many locations received 1 to 3 inches of snow, but a few areas had 4 to 5 inches. The snow caused many automobile accidents on area roads, including a couple of pile-ups on interstates.
- Winter Weather in Indiana, February 3, 2009A brief, intense snowstorm struck the Indianapolis area on the 3rd. The rapidly intensifying storm dumped approximately 2 to 4 inches of snow in about an hour during the morning.
- Winter Weather in Indiana, December 23, 2008Light freezing rain the afternoon of December 23 led to numerous traffic accidents that resulted in two fatalities. Freezing rain changed into rain during the evening as temperatures rose.
- Winter Weather in Indiana, December 16 to 17, 2008Light lake-enhanced snow fell December 16th into early December 17th. Snowfall amounts ranged from 1 to 3 inches. This led to icy road conditions and a fatal car crash early December 17th in South Bend.

- High Wind and Winter Weather in Indiana, December 20 to 21, 2012A strong low pressure system moved just north of central Indiana, producing widespread rainfall followed by very strong winds. Non-thunderstorm winds gusted over 55 mph at times. The rain eventually changed to snow. Minor snow accumulations were observed.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Indiana, December 11 to 12, 2025An increasingly active mid-month pattern over central Indiana began early on the 11th amid enhanced lift from an approaching 140 KT jet streak.
- Winter Weather in Indiana, March 14, 2020A brief snow event on March 14th brought slick road conditions to central Indiana. During the event, a fatal car accident occurred in Shelby County with generally fair road conditions across much of the rest of central Indiana.
- Winter Weather in Indiana, December 20, 2010A light snow and sleet mix fell during the day across southern Indiana. Slick roads later that evening contributed to a fatal automobile accident on Indiana State Highway 62 near Stacy Springs Court.
- Winter Weather in Indiana, February 28, 2005A combination of light snow, which developed in advance of an approaching area of low pressure, and road temperatures around freezing, created slippery conditions for motorists across portions of northern Indiana.
- Winter Storm and Heavy Snow in Indiana, January 30 to 31, 2021During the late afternoon and evening hours of Saturday January 30th, an area of rain arrived across southwest Indiana. As this initial band moved to the northeast, it would transition to snow bringing periods of heavy snow starting around 6 PM that continued through 10 PM.
- Winter Weather in Indiana, January 17 to 18, 2020A strong upper level low pressure system brought periods of mixed precipitation to central Indiana late during the evening of the 17th and continuing through the night. Precipitation began as a snow/sleet mix and transitioned to freezing rain before all rain.
- Winter Weather in Indiana, January 24, 2018Light freezing drizzle created slick roadways during the morning hours of January 24th. Numerous accidents were reported, with one fatality in Elkhart County.
- Winter Storm and Extreme Cold in Indiana, December 22 to 24, 2022A powerful cold front swept through the region, with wind chills dropping to 20 to 30 below zero. These were the coldest wind chills observed in over 25 years across the region. Evansville plummeted to -30, which was the coldest since December 22, 1989.
- Winter Weather in Indiana, December 12 to 13, 2010On the heels of a cold frontal passage, a strong, closed upper level low pressure system pushed eastward across the Ohio River Valley during the day on the 12th of December.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Indiana, February 14, 2015Snow and strong winds created near blizzard conditions at times on February 14th along and behind a strong arctic front. Snow amounts generally ranged between 1 and 3 inches.
