- Rip Current and High Surf in Indiana, June 21, 2025Strong winds on the 21st generated high waves and deadly currents on southern Lake Michigan beaches, resulting in several water rescues. The Michigan City C-MAN station was regularly reporting wind gusts between 30 and 40 mph during the afternoon out of the south.
- High Surf in Indiana, June 19, 2025During the late afternoon of the 19th, waves were kicked up on far southern Lake Michigan as a thunderstorm moved over. At around 4 PM CST, a woman became distressed in the water at West Beach and two of her family members went in after her.
