- Marine Thunderstorm Winds in Gulf of Mexico, April 13, 2021A wake low developed on the backside of a cluster of showers and thunderstorms racing south across southeast Louisiana.
- Marine Tropical Storm in Gulf of Mexico, July 4 to 6, 2021Tropical Storm Elsa moved north-northwest from western Cuba, through the western Straits of Florida, and passed between the Marquesas Keys and Dry Tortugas into the southeast Gulf of Mexico.
- Marine Strong Wind in Gulf of Mexico, February 17, 2022Strong, gusty north winds rapidly developed in the wake of a cold front the evening of February 17th and persisted for 2 hours. Winds gusted to 36 knots at Rincon del San Jose. The winds capsized a 16 foot Jon Boat boat near Port Mansfield in the Laguna Madre.

- Marine Strong Wind in Gulf of Mexico, March 6, 2016A 20 foot recreational boat capsized near Flour Bluff Sunday 6 March 2016 at 3:00 PM CST. According to the U. S. Coast Guard, the boat was originally placed in the water near the JFK Causeway. Eight people were on board. Six were rescued and two were missing.
- Marine Dense Fog in Gulf of Mexico, January 14, 2020Boaters were killed when a tanker crashed into their vessel. Dense fog may have been a contributing factor.
- Marine Thunderstorm Winds and Waterspouts in Gulf of Mexico, June 14 to 19, 2023The middle part of June was unusually stormy across the area. Numerous rounds of strong to severe storms impacted the region with multiple squall lines producing strong to severe winds across the coastal waters.

The strong winds resulted in rough to very rough waters in the Laguna Madre.

- Marine Hurricane/Typhoon in Gulf of Mexico, August 27 to 30, 2012Hurricane Isaac entered the Gulf of Mexico as a tropical storm on August 26, moving northwest after crossing Haiti, Cuba and the Florida Straits.
- Marine Tropical Storm in Gulf of Mexico, July 25 to 26, 2020Hurricane Hanna was the first hurricane of the 2020 Atlantic Basin hurricane season and made landfall on the lower Texas coast north of Port Mansfield on the afternoon of the 25th. Hanna was the first hurricane to make landfall in Texas since Hurricane Harvey.
- Marine Thunderstorm Wind in Gulf of Mexico, September 22, 2006High winds from a thunderstorm caused a construction barge to break loose from its moorings near Perdido Pass. The winds pushed the barge against a sea wall causing a crane to topple off the barge.
- Marine High Wind in Gulf of Mexico, May 19, 2021The May 19th thunderstorm complex that brought flash flooding and high winds to portions of the Lower Rio Grande Valley also developed a wake low, which led to high northerly winds occurring across the Laguna Madre and immediate coastal areas.
