- Tornadoes in Georgia, February 13 to 14, 2000A tornado destroyed several homes, and downed trees and power lines at the intersection of CR 97 and CR 262. One person was injured by flying debris. Decatur County was declared a federal disaster area. Reported by the Decatur County EMA.

- Tornadoes and Flash Flood in Georgia, April 27 to 28, 2011A highly diffluent, deep upper trough, centered across Texas, took on a negative tilt and began to rotate northeast during this period.

- Tornado in Georgia, March 20, 2003An F2 tornado touched down near Branchville, and traveled northeast. Its path was similar to the February 14, 2000 tornado. The tornado intensified to F3 as it passed just south of Camilla, then weakened as it neared the Mitchell-Worth County line.

- Hurricane and Tornado in Georgia, September 26 to 27, 2024Hurricane Helene made landfall as a Category 4 hurricane in the Big Bend region of Florida at 11 PM EDT. Helene moved quickly inland bringing wind gusts between 50 and 100 mph to portions of east and central Georgia.
- Tornadoes and Hail in Georgia, April 4 to 5, 2011An extremely progressive and highly kinematic upper flow remained in place across the U.S. A deep, full-latitude negatively tilted trough and associated strong Pacific cold front swept through the eastern U.S. April 4th into April 5th.
- Tornadoes in Georgia, April 9, 1998Tornado touched down in the Rye Patch Community where 3 people died (all were in mobile homes).Ten mobile homes were destroyed and two others were damaged along with a roof blown off a block house. Numerous trees were uprooted or snapped off above the ground.
