- Wildfire in Delaware, April 27, 2006The owner of the Shaffer Service Tire Store on Route 1 in Lewes, Delaware was badly injured during the afternoon of the 27th from a brush fire. The owner started a contained fire, however the fire got away from the planned burn circle near a creek.
- Wildfire in Delaware, April 8 to 10, 2012A wildfire that started on a mulch pile at a recycling center at the Port of Wilmington on the afternoon of the 8th burned into the 10th and affected cargo operations and truck loading into the morning of the 10th.
- Wildfire in Delaware, July 6 to 7, 2002A northerly flow of air through the lower half of the atmosphere pushed smoke from forest fires in northern Quebec across Delaware. The smoke reduced visibilities and could be smelled from the afternoon of the 6th into the afternoon of the 7th.
- Wildfire in Delaware, May 18 to 19, 2000A wildfire exacerbated by gusty south winds circulating around a large high pressure system anchored off the south Atlantic Coast spread through a remote area of Dagsboro Hundred during the evening of the 18th.
- Wildfire in Delaware, February 24, 2002A forest fire, exacerbated by the unusually dry weather, scorched about 20 acres of forest in the Redden State Forest.
- Wildfire in Delaware, August 22 to 23, 2002A wildfire consumed about 500 acres of brush, young pine trees and older trees in Farmington. The fire began during the afternoon of the 22nd just northwest of Five Points along Flatiron Road. More than 300 firefighters from 32 companies in Maryland and Delaware fought the fire.
- Wildfire in Delaware, July 9 to 12, 2004Recent dry weather helped accelerate a pair of wildfires in Sussex County. One wildfire burned 13 acres in the Redden State Forest in Georgetown Hundred. A second wildfire burned 25 acres on a tree farm west of Bethel near the Maryland State Line.
- Wildfire in Delaware, April 6, 2005A brush fire occurred along Long Neck Road in Millsboro around 4:09 PM EDT. The area of brush on fire was located behind several homes. Firefighters quickly knocked the flames down and prevented them from spreading.
- Wildfire in Delaware, April 15, 2005Gusty northeast winds helped fuel a fire at a Wilmington salvage yard that burned nearly 100 vehicles. The fire was reported about 10:55 AM EDT, and the flames consumed rows of flattened cars in the rear lot of the 6-acre salvage yard, located on South Market Street.
- Wildfire in Delaware, April 13, 2005Despite recent heavy rains that soaked the region, several days of steady winds have dried the top layer of the ground, making the grasses and brush perfect kindling for a fire.
- Wildfire in Delaware, April 17, 2005A 400-acre marsh fire started about 10:20 AM EDT on Port Mahon Road east of Little Creek (east of Dover). More than 75 firefighters fought the fire, which did not endanger any life or property.
- Wildfire in Delaware, March 14, 2006A wildfire consumed about 1,280 acres of fields and woods, seven structures and injured four firefighters in Cedar Creek Hundred. The fire began when sparks from a torch being used to dismantle vacant house trailers ignited nearby combustibles.
- Wildfire in Delaware, March 22, 2006A wildfire consumed more than 70 acres of woodland and brush near Millsboro. Gusty northwest winds up to 35 mph and unseasonably dry weather helped spread the fire quickly.
- Wildfire in Delaware, April 3, 2013A brush fire occurred during the late afternoon of the 3rd in New Castle County near the junction of Interstates 95 and 295 close to the Newport Industrial Park and New Castle County Airport. Smoke from the fire did not impact the evening commute.
