- Frost and Freeze in Delaware, April 5 to 11, 2007A run of unseasonably cold weather produce below freezing minimum temperatures from the morning of the 5th through the morning of the 11th. The coldest morning for most places were the mornings of the 9th and 11th when the winds were the lightest.
- Frost and Freeze in Delaware, January 7, 2000Light winds, subfreezing temperatures and fog produced black ice on the Saint Georges Bridge over the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal. The bridge was closed for about two hours from 6 a.m. EST to 8 a.m. EST after the black ice caused three accidents in five minutes.
- Frost and Freeze in Delaware, January 16, 2001The combination of dense fog and temperatures close to the freezing mark helped produce black ice on New Castle County roadways during the morning of the 16th. The worst conditions were in the northwest part of the county in Hockessin and Centreville.
