- Extreme Cold in Delaware, February 5 to 6, 2007An arctic air mass that originated near the North Pole invaded Delaware on the 5th and 6th. The combination of the unseasonably cold air and gusty northwest winds produced wind chill factors as low as zero to 10 degrees below zero during the mornings of the 5th and 6th.
- Extreme Cold in Delaware, January 4, 2014A high pressure system that moved over Delaware coupled with fresh snow cover from the winter storm on the 2nd and 3rd gave the state one of its coldest winter mornings in years. This was the first of three arctic blasts in the state during the month.
- Extreme Cold in Delaware, January 22, 2014Strong northwest winds behind the departing strong low pressure system coupled with another arctic air mass dropped low temperatures on the morning of the 22nd into the single numbers in Delaware and produced wind chill factors as low as 10 degrees to 20 degrees below zero.
