- Ice Storm and Winter Weather in Connecticut, January 6 to 7, 2009The combination of a weak high retreating over the northeast and deepening low pressure over the Great Lakes resulted in a significant accumulation of ice across interior portions of southern Connecticut from the evening of January 6 into the afternoon of January 7.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Connecticut, October 29 to 30, 2011A rare and historic October Nor'easter brought very heavy snow to portions of southern New England on Saturday October 29. Low pressure tracked northeast from the North Carolina coast Saturday morning, rapidly strengthening as it passed well south of Nantucket Saturday evening.

- Winter Weather in Connecticut, January 5, 2022A frontal boundary off the East Coast resulted in a period of light freezing rain across portions of northwestern Connecticut during the morning hours on Wednesday, January 5. While amounts were only around a light glaze, icy conditions resulted in numerous vehicle accidents.
- Winter Weather in Connecticut, January 28, 2009A strong low pressure system moved through southern New England from the southwest spreading snow across the area. This was followed by strong warm advection resulting in a precipitation change to freezing rain.
- Winter Weather in Connecticut, January 7, 2009A low pressure system moved across the Ohio Valley and into southern New England. This low developed a secondary low off the coast of New Jersey. These two low pressure systems resulted in precipitation overspreading the area while warm air moved in aloft.

This caused rain to change to snow, temperatures to fall from the 40s into the 20s, and northwest winds that gusted between 40 and 55 mph. Near blizzard conditions occurred for a short time.

The low then tracked northeast away from the Middle Atlantic through the afternoon as it intensified, then well south and east of Long Island in the late afternoon and evening.
