- Winter Weather in Colorado, March 30, 2009A band of heavy snow, induced by a strong upper level jetstream, wreaked havoc on the morning commute in Denver, as well as area north and east of the Denver area. The snow was heaviest on the east side of the Denver metro area where storm totals ranged from 2 to 5 inches.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Colorado, December 19 to 20, 2011A winter storm brought heavy snow to southern Lincoln County. Trained spotters in and around Karval measured 7 to 10 inches of snowfall.
- Winter Weather in Colorado, March 1, 2014A band of heavy snow, produced around one inch in less than 30 minutes, contributed to a chain of accidents in the northbound lanes of Interstate 25, between Logan Street and University Boulevard.

- Cold and Winter Weather in Colorado, December 21 to 23, 2022A powerful arctic outbreak brought some of the coldest temperatures to northeast Colorado in nearly 30 years. The arctic outbreak impacted the Rockies, the Midwest, Northeast, and Southern United States.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Colorado, November 25 to 26, 2019A strong midlevel Pacific trough and associated cold front progressed across western Colorado. As a result, moderate to heavy snow fell across the mountains as well as some valley locations.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Colorado, October 25 to 26, 2006A strong Pacific storm system and cold front swept across western Colorado and brought snow and strong winds to the mountains and some of the high valleys of western Colorado.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Colorado, October 29 to 30, 2019A strong storm system dropped out of the northern Rockies and across Colorado. This system brought record breaking temperatures and up to a foot of new snow to parts of Denver, especially across the south and southeast portions of the metro area down to the Palmer Divide.
- Winter Storm and Avalanche in Colorado, April 15 to 16, 2020A potent storm system dropped out of the northern Rockies and produced moderate to heavy snow over portions of the mountains, foothills and plains. The heaviest snow fell in and near the foothills north of Interstate 70, and across the plains north of I-76.
- Winter Weather in Colorado, November 3 to 4, 2022A massive crash occurred as freezing temperatures and icy conditions followed the first snowfall of the season, most of which fell the previous evening. Hazardous conditions developed in Denver along an elevated portion of 6th Avenue during the early morning commute.
- Winter Storm and Heavy Snow in Colorado, April 14 to 16, 2020A bitterly cold Pacific trough and associated cold front pushed through western Colorado. Favorable orographics and jet support aloft resulted in moderate to heavy snow across the northern and central Colorado mountains.
- Winter Storm and Avalanche in Colorado, December 23 to 25, 2021A winter storm produced the first significant snowfall in the northern mountains of Colorado, just in time for Christmas. Storm totals generally ranged from 1 to 2.5 feet. The heaviest snowfall occurred in mountains north of the I-70 corridor.
- Winter Weather in Colorado, September 4, 2004A hiker froze to death on the summit of Longs Peak as an early season snowstorm, accompanied by strong winds and freezing temperatures, moved through the region. The hiker was found wearing only tennis shoes, jeans and a hooded sweatshirt.
- Winter Weather in Colorado, November 15, 2010A combination of light snow, blowing snow, black ice and careless driving resulted in a 34-vehicle crash along Interstate 25 near Monument. Five tractor-trailers were involved in the pileup.
- Winter Storm and Flooding in Colorado, May 10 to 13, 2023A slow moving storm system produced flooding and flash flooding across the urban corridor and northeast plains, with heavy snowfall in the higher mountains of the Front Range.
- Dust Storm and High Wind in Colorado, December 22 to 23, 2020The east-central portion of Colorado saw non-thunderstorm high sustained winds and gusts associated with a cold front beginning in the afternoon hours of December 22nd that continued until the afternoon hours of December 23rd.
- Winter Storm and Winter Weather in Colorado, September 8 to 10, 2020An abnormally strong and cold low pressure system and associated cold front dropped south across the Northern Rockies and into the Four Corners. The low remained quasi-stationary for about a day before lifting northeast into the Plains.
- Blizzard and Winter Storm in Colorado, January 27 to 29, 2008Strong southwest flow transported deep subtropical moisture across western Colorado as an upper level moved east across the Great Basin. This system was quickly followed by a strong cold front out of the northwest.
- Winter Storm and High Wind in Colorado, November 12 to 13, 2011Hurricane force winds, up to 115 mph, downed trees in and power lines across the Front Range Mountains and Foothills. Numerous trees were downed in Rocky Mountain National Park. Sprague Lake was closed until crews could clear the access road of several fallen trees.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Colorado, January 5 to 8, 2019An upper level trough moved into western Colorado from the west and pulled in a tap of subtropical moisture with it from the southwest. This resulted in moderate to heavy snow showers at times for much of the valleys and mountains.
- Winter Weather in Colorado, December 23, 2014During the morning and into the afternoon strong winds gusting 35 MPH to near 60 MPH were reported along with blowing snow, reducing visibilities to near zero at times. The highest gusts reported were in Cheyenne County.
- Winter Weather in Colorado, May 11 to 12, 2014A late season winter storm produced a band of wet snow from western Kit Carson County northeast through Yuma County.
- Tornadoes and Hail in Colorado, May 3 to 7, 2007A slow moving pacific storm system, ejecting from the Desert Southwest, brought a period of unsettled weather to Northeast Colorado. During the 3-day period from May 3rd to May 5th, locally heavy snow was reported over parts of the Front Range Foothills.
- Extreme Cold and Winter Weather in Colorado, January 17 to 21, 2025An arctic cold front brought cold temperatures and snowfall to the area beginning late on the 17th and continuing into the 18th. The snowfall and cold temperatures led to snow covered roads.
- Blizzard and Winter Storm in Colorado, November 25 to 26, 2019A powerful winter storm brought very heavy snowfall to the Front Range Mountains, Foothills, I-25 corridor and northeast plains. Heavy snow developed in and near the Front Range Foothills of Larimer and Boulder counties, then spread south and east across the rest of the region.
