Strong straight line winds produced damage across southeast Kansas.

- Damaging Wind in Wyoming, August 11, 2020A thunderstorm developed to the west of Casper and become severe as it moved into eastern Natrona County. Wind gusts as high as 61 mph were reported at the Natrona County airport.
- Damaging Wind in Georgia, August 11, 2020As is typical during summer, scattered afternoon thunderstorms produced a few instances of damaging winds across southwest Georgia and northwest Florida.
- Hail and Damaging Winds in Colorado, August 11, 2020During the early afternoon hours, a linear cluster of thunderstorms moved east across northeast Colorado. As the line moved into Yuma County, it produced up to 59 mph wind gusts.
- Flash Flooding and Heavy Rain in Virginia, August 11, 2020Scattered thunderstorms associated with a trough of low pressure produced heavy rain which caused flash flooding across portions of southeast Virginia.

- Damaging Winds in South Dakota, August 11, 2020A severe thunderstorm skirted the Oglala Lakota County and Nebraska border, producing wind gusts over 60 mph in the Pine Ridge area.
- Hail and Damaging Winds in Nebraska, August 11 to 12, 2020One cluster of thunderstorms moved eastward from the Nebraska Panhandle into western Nebraska through the northern Sandhills. The second cluster of storms moved eastward from northern Colorado into southern Nebraska. Storms produced severe hail and damaging winds.
- Damaging Wind and Lightning Strikes in Florida, August 11, 2020A very moist and unstable atmosphere combined with a weak upper level disturbance led to the development of showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms became strong to severe with strong winds.
- Hail and Damaging Winds in Kansas, August 11 to 12, 2020A linear cluster of storms moved east into northwest Kansas from Yuma County and merged into one large line with clusters in Cheyenne County, Colorado and southwest Nebraska.
- Hail in South Dakota, August 11, 2020A thunderstorm briefly became severe over northern Fall River and south central Custer Counties. The storm produced hail to golf ball size.
- Tornado in Wyoming, August 11, 2020A brief and short-lived EF-0 tornado touched down about six miles northwest of Riverton, Wyoming near Ocean lake. Eyewitnesses reported that the small tornado only briefly touched down in a field for about three minutes before dissipating.
