- Ice Storm and Winter Storm in Alabama, January 28 to 29, 2014An area of low pressure moved across the northern Gulf of Mexico January 28th and 29th. This system spread moisture northward across a very cold arctic airmass in place across the deep south.
- Winter Storm and Heavy Snow in Alabama, January 14 to 16, 2024An impactful winter storm occurred after the passage of an Arctic cold front on the 14th and an upper level disturbance and jet streak tracked east-northeast through the mid South and Tennessee Valley the evening of the 14th into the 15th.
- Heavy Snow and Winter Weather in Alabama, January 17, 2013A strong upper level storm system moved northeast through the Tennessee valley region, with heavy snowfall and sleet reported in portions of north Alabama. Snowfall amounts ranged from up to an inch in northwest Alabama, to three to four inches in north central Alabama.
- Sleet in Alabama, January 27 to 28, 2000Sleet fell over much of the area during the overnight hours of January 27 and 28. Very little accumulation was noticed except in Marengo county where a glaze of ice accumulated on some of the side streets.
- Winter Weather and Sleet in Alabama, February 2, 2013A fast moving upper level storm system brought a quick burst of light to moderate snow, sleet and freezing rain to the area. Snowfall amounts ranged from a dusting to a half of an inch. The sleet and freezing rain occurrences produced a light glaze of ice on area roads.
- Sleet and Winter Weather in Alabama, March 5, 2015On Thursday, March 5, 2015, the northern half of Central Alabama observed a mixture of wintry precipitation mainly in the form of sleet. The precipitation began as light freezing rain, but quickly changed over to sleet in most locations.
