- Excessive Heat and Heat in Alabama, June 27 to 30, 2012A very hot period occurred during the last week of June. Maximum temperatures climbed to 100 degrees or higher on each of these days in at least one county in north Alabama.
- Excessive Heat in Alabama, June 19 to 23, 2009A large ridge of high pressure built over the region producing hot weather over several days. Daytime high temperatures reached the middle to upper 90s during this period.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in Alabama, July 10 to 12, 2011Hot and very humid conditions produced dangerous heat during this period, mainly across northwest and north central Alabama.
- Excessive Heat in Alabama, June 27, 2022A six-month old female infant died after being left in a vehicle. Although limited details are available, it is assumed that the infant was left inside the vehicle sometime on the 26th when temperatures were in the lower to middle 90s.
- Excessive Heat in Alabama, August 11 to 15, 2023Alabama continued to be under the influence of an upper level ridge positioned over the southern United States during the second week of August.
- Excessive Heat in Alabama, June 7, 2008Heat illnesses prompted the hospitalization of four individuals. Temperatures climbed to between 90 and 95 degrees and heat index values reached 95 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Excessive Heat in Alabama, August 5 to 9, 2023An upper level heat ridge that entrenched itself over the Southern Plains states during the summer shifted eastward into Alabama in early August.

- Excessive Heat and Heat in Alabama, July 3 to 9, 2022Heat index values reached 105-109 degrees on successive days with low temperatures in the middle to upper 70s at times in urban areas. High temperatures were in the middle to upper 90s, reaching 100 at Huntsville on the 5th and 101 at Muscle Shoals on the 8th.
- Excessive Heat and Heat in Alabama, July 20 to 22, 2022Heat index values peaked at 111 degrees in Muscle Shoals and 110 in Huntsville on the 20th and 21st. In Vinemont, the heat index peaked at 110 on the 21st. Overnight low temperatures were in the middle to around 80. High temperatures were in the middle to upper 90s.
