This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of panhandle
Nebraska...east central Wyoming...south central Wyoming and
southeast Wyoming.
.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT
- Strong westerly winds and critical fire danger will continue
through early Saturday evening.
- A strong cold front Saturday evening will bring much colder
temperatures and a quick round of locally heavy snow showers,
with potential for widespread light accumulations.
- A few snow squalls will be possible this evening.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY
- Strong northwest to north winds will continue over the High
Plains into Sunday, producing sub-zero wind chill
temperatures.
- High winds may return to the area Tuesday.
- Record breaking warm temperatures are expected to return to
the forecast for the second half of the week ahead.

WYDOT site at Vedauwoo along Interstate 80 observed wind gusts between 62 and 70 MPH, visibility as low as 1/8th of a mile (0.11), and brief very heavy snow.

Both the Cheyenne Airport ASOS and Wyohill WYDOT site south of Cheyenne reported visibility as low as 0.08 (1/8) of a mile. Wind gusts between 40 to 59 MPH were observed for over 20 minutes. NWS meteorologist reported brief white out conditions three miles north of town while driving home after shift.
