A cold front will continue to push across our counties in southern
Oklahoma and western north Texas through the early morning hours. A
severe & flooding risk for storms along and ahead of the front will
continue through the early morning hours. Behind the front there
are chances for rain showers mainly across the southern half of our
CWA until sunrise.

Rain showers behind Friday nights storm system will be restricted
main to southeast Oklahoma during the latter half of Saturday
morning. Otherwise, a cooler air mass settles in this weekend with
highs in the 60s on Saturday although becoming more seasonably
normal on Sunday with lower to mid-70s highs. High surface pressure
builds in Saturday with light north winds although the surface high
tracks east on Sunday producing a light northeast wind shift.
Although may see some high cloudiness Saturday night, it will be
colder Saturday & Sunday nights from radiational cooling within our
cooler air mass.

Our upper trough starts moving out/eastward on Monday as our upper
flow becomes zonal into mid-week keeping our weather quiet. A weak
shortwave trough may move through our upper flow which could produce
some rain across northwest Oklahoma on Wednesday morning. South
winds make a slow return early next week becoming much stronger by
mid-week becoming windy on Wednesday. Gusty south winds on
Wednesday and increasing dry and lowering afternoon RH values will
start increasing fire weather conditions to Elevated on both
Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.

Surface/cold front will continue to push through southern OK and
northern TX shifting surface winds out of the north between
06-09Z at terminals KLAW, KSPS, and KDUA. Will keep TEMPOs at
those 3 terminals for +TSRA with potential but brief MVFR
conditions with the convection due to lower ceilings and reduced
visibilities in rain. Otherwise all terminals should stay mostly
in a VFR category through the forecast period.
Behind the cold front will keep a mention of -SHRA. Expecting
rainfall to have cleared all of our terminals by 16Z. After 16Z
surface winds will be out of the north at 15 kts gusting to 25 kts
through 23Z. By 00Z surface winds will veer north-northeast
becoming lighter at 5-10 kts then likely going light & variable by
05Z.
