What happened

The episode as NWS GYX wrote it up.

On the afternoon of June sixth a progressive shortwave trough approached New Hampshire from Vermont. This brought moderate instability aloft along with deep level shear. These ingredients interacted with a hot and humid day for early June that led to amble CAPE that could support severe thunderstorm outflow winds. A line of storms developed in Vermont and progressed across the Connecticut River Valley into New Hampshire bringing with it gusty outflow winds that brought down trees.
