A light wintry mix of snow and freezing drizzle developed during the evening of December 5th across portions of central northern Virginia. This continued through the overnight before tapering off by daybreak December 6th. Snowfall amounts were generally a coating to an inch with a glaze to few hundredths of an inch or ice.
